JD Twitch (Optimo) - White Light 54

via Spin (via White Light)

Spin has an interesting article about the a rebirth of the "maligned sub-genre": Trance. Maybe what got in the way of Trance was the huge number of completely different sub-genres ranging from goa to Tiesto, which may be a far away trip from each other (and from many people's tastes). Anyway, the thing is they managed to gather a collection of some quality trancey sets that you should definitely have a look whenever you are on that trippy mood.

One of these sets is from a JD Twitch (half of Optimo), whom you probably know for playing different music styles in their set. JD claimed his intention was help people get free from the bad associations they usualy have with genre and provide a transcendental effect to those car trips.

The set does not bring many famous names to me, as I myself haven't been listening to the genre for some good years. Except of course for The KLF almost in the end. It is, however, of high quality and definitely worth the trip.

Boyz Noize - Boiler Room Berlin

via boilerroom.tv

To change a bit from the last few sets here in petzcast, that one will really make you feel like dancing. Two weeks ago the Boiler Room Podcast posted this 75 min wax gem by Boys Noise. The mix was recorded live in Boiler Room Berlin. There's also a video of him playing this same set in this Boiler Room post (cannot embed here, sorry).

Again Boys Noise does it with an unique set perfect to dance or just enjoy him showing off his amazing technique. To be honnest don't know much from the tracklist except for Theo Parrish in the beginning and the great Ian Pooley in the very end. The tracklist is not complete, but it is what I found. Enjoy!
